An American actor, born on June 30, 1902, in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. He learned piano lessons as a child and came to Hollywood in 1933. He became a romantic lead star in Fox films in the late 1930s, starring in films including Poor Little Rich Girl (1936), The Wee Willie Winkie (1937), and Island in the Sky (1938). He died on April 14, 1974, in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California.
