Chinese director, writer, and producer born on 8 February 1971 in Xinjiang, China. He earned a master's degree in directing from the Beijing Film Academy in 1998. His works include The Missing Gun, Chronicles of the Ghostly Tribe, City of Life and Death, and Mountain Patrol.
