A British writer, poet, and actor, born in Helsby, United Kingdom. He began his career in 1964. British playwright Harold Pinter encouraged him to try playwriting, so his first play, The Local Stigmatic, was about the bustling lives of celebrities, and the passion of ordinary people for their news. He published articles defending animals, plants, dolphins, and whales. He appeared as an actor in several works such as The Reckoning (2003), Nostradamus (2006), and City of Ember (2008). He died on July 1, 2017, in Oxford, United Kingdom.
