A British fashion designer, born in Bridgend, United Kingdom. He studied at Porthcawl Secondary School, where he excelled in music and art. He became the boy's choir head at his local church and taught himself to play the cello. He was accepted by the Welsh College of Music and Drama, Cardiff, but he chose to study design at Cardiff School of Art and Design (1972-1975). He studied fashion designing at Harrow School of Art, London (1974-1975). He worked for two seasons as an assistant to royal designer Hardy Amies in Savile Row. At the age of 25, he launched his own fashion house and became a favorite designer of Lady Diana Spencer before her marriage. In 1981, he was chosen to design the wedding dress for Diana, Princess of Wales. He participated in the British reality TV show I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!.
