An Indian actress and television presenter, she was born in Mumbai, India. She was educated at the Besant Montessori School and the Lawrence Sunwar School. She participated in Bollywood films during the period from 1991 to 1995 and participated in many commercials and plays such as Carry On Papa, Wow What a Girl, and A Bengali Jatra. She began her film career with Vishkanya (1991) and Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (1992).
