An American actor, who was born on August 30, 1882 in Philadelphia. He debuted in 1925 and he acted along 31 years. He studied at the United States Naval Academy. He is best known for his roles in: Angels with Dirty Faces (1938), Every Dawn I Die (1939), Young Tom Edison (1940). He died 2 October 1956 in Santa Monica.
