An English actress, born on May 9, 1957, in Hammersmith, London, United Kingdom. She studied at Kenmore Park Junior School, Harrow, and Downer Grammar School, which is now known as Canons High School, before training at the Central School of Speech and Drama. She began her acting career in 1978 and is known for Only Fools and Horses (1988-2003), Pride and Prejudice (1980), Doctor Who (2013), and Grantchester (2014-2022).
