An American actress, born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. After attending Florida Atlantic University for two years after graduating from Fort Lauderdale High School in 1974, she departed to accept a position as a flight attendant with National Airlines. Six months later, she worked for the airline in a commercial role before traveling to Los Angeles to pursue her acting studies. Before starring in the 1980 television series Texas, she started her career on television in small roles. She has published multiple albums and books and is also a singer and novelist. She runs a cosmetics company as its CEO. Among her works are One Life to Live (1998-2012), Knight Rider (1983-1986), and Loving (1993-1995).
