An American actor, who was born on April 17, 1913, in Carlsbad, New Mexico and raised in Barragold, Arkansas. He worked as a radio presenter and sports broadcaster before becoming an actor who started his life in Hollywood in action films in the 1930s. His real debut was in the comedy movie The Man Who Came to Dinner (1942), and then starred in the movie B Backlash.
