An American actress, who was born on February 3, 1932, in Ohio, then moved with her mother to Hollywood, where she worked as a model. She started her career as a child in 1938. She acted in many movies, most notably Jane Eyre (1943), A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (1945), and Black Widow (1954). She died on October 16, 1984 in Woodland Hills, California, affected by pancreatic cancer at the age of 52.
