An American actress, who was born in 1930 in Chico, California, and was one of five siblings. She attended Chico High School, and appeared in school plays, where she became interested in drama. She graduated in 1949, then studied at the University of Denver. She is known for her role in the movie Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Diana played the role of Mrs. Beckett, Charlie's mother, in the original film released in 1971, her first and best film work. Diana also participated, according to the British "BBC" network, in two other films in 1994, The Present Clear Danger, and Tess' Keeper, and she also acted in one of the American plays that was shown for a long time. She died at the age of 88, October 19 2018.
