French director, born on March 1, 1928, in Rouen, France. He was married briefly to Marilù Parolini during the early 1960s and later got married to Véronique Manniez-Rivette. He is known for The Beautiful Troublemaker (1991), Celine and Julie Go Boating (1974), and Paris Belongs to Us (1961). He died on January 29, 2016, in Paris, France.
