French writer and director, born on May 6, 1963. He holds a doctorate in philosophy. He won the Lumières Award for Best Screenplay in 2006 for Indigènes, as well as the César Award for Best Original Screenplay for the same film. He is known for Days of Glory (2006), Omar Killed Me (2011), and Red Sky (2017).
