Iranian director and writer, born in 1959 in Iran. He holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Shahid Beheshti and a master's degree in directing from the Islamic Azad University of Tehran. He is married to the director Azam Boroujerdi. He is known for The Postman Doesn't Knock 3 Times (2009), Shahrzad (2015), and The Tenth Night (2002).
