An British actor, born on November 6, 1923 in Wales, United Kingdom. He is the older brother of the actor Glenn Houston, his father is Alexander Houston, a professional football player from Scotland. After leaving school he worked in a local mine before taking up acting in 1940, when he went on stage. He served in the Royal Air Force during World War II. He served with the Royal Air Force as a rear gunner and radio officer. His first two British films, The Blue Lagoon (1949), and A Run for Your Money (1949). He appeared in The Viking Queen (1967) and The Longest Day (1962). He died on October 13, 1991 in Coimbra, Portugal.
