An American actress, who was born in Snoqualmie Falls, Washington state, on August 6, 1920, and died in Sherman Oaks, California, on May 30, 1988, of throat cancer. Ella Raines received the Golden Boot Award in 1984 and also won a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960 for her film work. Ella Rains is best known for acting in: Cry 'Havoc' (1943), Hail the Conquering Hero (1944), Phantom Lady (1944), Brute Force (1947), and Impact (1949).
