A Canadian actress, who was born on November 8, 1912 in Vancouver, British Columbia. She worked as a model in New York, then in Broadway theaters and in Hollywood. She first appeared on Broadway in 1936 in the musical. Forbidden Melody. Her cinematic debut was Four Jacks and a Jill (1942), and is best known for Powder Town (1942), The Story of Molly X (1949), and Can't Stop the Music (1980). She died on March 28, 2010, in Stamford, Connecticut.
