A Kuwaiti-Lebanese director, who was chosen as Best Director by the Lebanese Ministry of Culture and the Lebanon Syndicate of Cinema Technicians in 2015. She is best known for the short film 7 Hours and the feature film Breakfast in Beirut. Her film An Unwritten Story was chosen as one of the most important women’s films of 2018 on BBC Radio. She won several international awards from Paris, New York, and Los Angeles for her short film 7 Hours, and an honorable mention from the Alexandria Film Festival for Breakfast in Beirut in 2015 in the Nour El-Sherif Feature Narrative Competition. Farah received a master’s degree in film and fine arts from the New York Film Academy, a master’s degree in film history from the Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University in 2019, a master’s degree in international relations from the Lebanese American University in Beirut, and a BA in arts and media from the same university in 2005.
