An American director, screenwriter, and producer. He attended Clifton High School before graduating from the New York University Tisch School of the Arts in 1970. He was a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Directors Guild of America, and the Writers...Read more Guild of America. He wrote, produced, and directed dozens of plays and musicals before joining the theater department at the NYU College of Arts & Science and working on musicals there. He also worked in Spain. His credits include Gettysburg (1993), Gods and Generals (2003), and Copperhead (2013).
