American actress, born on August 5, 1957, in the USA. Her father, Dr. Ralph David Abernathy, was co-founder of the American Civil Rights movement, and her mother, was the activist Juanita Abernathy. She studied at Harvard Law School, Pepperdine University, and Morgan State University, however, she entered the acting field. She starred in the Emmy and Golden Globe-winning HBO Film Don King: Only in America (1997). She is known for Any Day Now (1998-2002), Bad Ass (2012), and Suits (2016).
