An American writer specializing in hunting, fishing, and wildlife. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. He did graduate studies in history at the University of Utah and obtained bachelor's and master's degrees in journalism from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. He started out in journalism as The Daily Universe's editor-in-chief. His books include "The Cokeville Miracle: When Angels Intervene," which was adapted into a film, The Cokeville Miracle (2015).
