An Iranian actor, born in the Iranian city of Tehran. He studied arts, and then in 1958, he was employed in the theater and acted in various local plays. In 1963, he acted in his first short film Serpant's Skin directed by Hajir Dariush. His artistic record is full of various roles. His works include the series Hezardastan (1988,) and the movie The Fateful Day (1995). He was also nominated for the Best Actor Award for his role in the movie Punishment Committe at the Iranian House of Cinema Ceremony in 1999, before winning the same award for his role in the movie My Lady (2003).
