American actress born Dorothy June Smith in Harrods, Ohio, on 17 June 1920. She started out as a model at the age of 17, then signed with Universal, and later with Columbia. She was married to William Mueller Sterling and had three children. Her notable film roles include: Can't Help Singing (1944), Black Angel (1946), Shed No Tears (1948), and The Creeper (1948). She died on 20 November 2008 in Colorado, at age 88.
