• A French novelist, born near Rouen. He studied law in Rouen and Paris but eventually devoted his life to literature, which became his primary occupation. His first book, "Les...Read more Amigos," was published in 1859. He wrote over 73 books, the most famous of which to date are "Sans Familie" in 1878, "A Good Deal" in 1870, "The Actress's Daughter" in 1875, and "The Seduction" in 1881. He died on July 18, 1907.
