Venezuelan director and writer, born on November 21, 1963, in Caracas, Venezuela. His works include The Laramie Project (2002), The L Word (2004), and America on Stage (2013). He won the 1998 Back Stage Garland Award for Director for Gross Indecency The Trials of Oscar Wilde at the Mark Taper Forum Theatre in Los Angeles, California. He was nominated for the 2009 Tony Award for Best Play for "33 Variations".
