• A French author, born in Nancy. He was the son of General Pierre Rondot. He graduated from the famous École Spéciale Militaire de Saint-Cyr in 1960 to participate in the Algerian...Read more War. His code name was "Max" when he joined the external intelligence service, where he worked as a spy for his country. He was a great intellectual and a first-class academic, having obtained a doctorate in political sociology. His writings attest to his passion for the Arab world, as he wrote several books on the Middle East, including Syria in 1978, Iraq in 1979, and Jordan in 1980. In addition to his book Arab-Israeli Peace Projects in 1980, which was his university thesis, and his book The Middle East and the Search for Peace in 1982, he also wrote about the Baath Party in 1984. He died on December 26, 2017, at the age of 81.
