A French actor, director and author. He was born on April 27, 1921. He directed, composed and acted in several of his works, most notably The American Beauty in 1961, Les aventures des Pieds-Nickelés in 1948 and La patronne in 1950. Robert married the actress Colette Brosset and they had a child. He died on December 5, 2004 in Paris, France.
