After graduating from Benfield School in 1991, he pursued an associate's degree at Kellogg Community College, where he took part in...Read more theater plays. He traveled to Chicago and made multiple appearances at Second City Theater after working for a year at the Barn Theater. He later relocated to Los Angeles to pursue acting and made his television debut in Gilmore Girls (2001-2006). He gained major recognition through his role in The Comeback (2005-2014), and he joined the cast of the television series Young Sheldon (2017-2024). He is married to Aliza Barber and has two children.
