American actress born in San Antonio, Texas on 20 September 1934. Karen was married to producer and director Stanley Kramer from 1966 till his death in 2001. She has won a Golden Globe for Most Promising Newcomer for The High and the Mighty (1954). She's known for The High and the Mighty (1954), Johnny Ringo (1959-1960), The Disorderly Orderly (1964), and The Man from U.N.C.L.E (1965). After retiring from acting, she worked in production.
