A German actress, born in Berlin, Germany, as Annemarie Schünzel. She married actor Louis Calhern (1946-1955) and then divorced. Her credits include The Facts of Life (1960), Hush...Hush, Sweet Charlotte (1964), and Mike Hammer (1959). She is the daughter of German actor, director, and writer Reinhold Schünzel. She received her education in Germany and then went with her father in 1937 to the United States, where she studied theater acting at the New York State Theatre Institute. She appeared on Broadway and performed several works before her cinematic appearance in 1946 in the film Our Hearts Were Growing Up. She continued her theatrical work and headed to television along with a few films. She died in Los Angeles, California, on November 1, 1992.
