Chinese actor born on December 6, 1925 in Tongshan, Jiangsu, China. He graduated at the Teachers College in Xuzhou and worked as an elementary school teacher when the civil war started. He enlisted in the National Revolutionary Army, and after the Communist victory, he travelled to Taiwan. He is known for The River (1997), The Hole (1998), and What Time Is It There? (2001). He died on February 19, 2005 in Taipei, Taiwan, at age 79 of lymphatic cancer.
