A Japanese actress, born in Tokyo, Japan, as Haruko Koga. She received the Mainichi Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1955, the Blue Ribbon Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1957, the Tanaka Kino Award in 1994, and the Golden Glory Award in 1995. Yoshiko married the Japanese actor Akihiko Hirata and stayed with him until he died. Yoshiko signed her first contract when she was a student at Gakushuin Junior High School, and she also participated in many works, such as the film Taiyô to bara (1956) and the film Cruel Story of Youth (1960).
