An American writer, journalist, and lawyer, born in California, USA, to a father who worked with the Food and Drug Administration in the United States. Her father's work caused her to move between different states before she graduated from Susan E. Wagner High School, in New York. She studied political science at the University of California, then obtained a doctorate in law from the Southwestern University School of Law, in Texas, before she took up acting. She produced the movie Guilt by Association (2015), presented the program O.J.: Made in America (2016), and wrote the series The Fix (2019).
