A Danish drummer, songwriter, and actor, born on December 26, 1963. He co-founded the heavy metal band Metallica in 1981 with singer and guitarist James Hetfield. Lars is the son of tennis player Torben Ulrich and the grandson of tennis player Einer Ulrich. He also played tennis in his youth and moved to Los Angeles at the age of 16 to train. However, instead of playing tennis, Ulrich started playing the drums. His credits include X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) and Mission: Impossible II (2000).
