• A Canadian actor, born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, of Russian and Ukrainian descent. He completed his education at the University of Toronto in 1943 due to war service in the...Read more Royal Canadian Navy. However, he graduated with a BA in 1947. A few years later, he moved to New York, USA, to hone his acting skills. In 1953, he returned to Canada to participate in the inaugural season of the Stratford Festival, where he obtained roles in Shakespearean plays such as Horatio in Hamlet and Orsino in Twelfth Night. He began his acting career in a radio series and participated in various film works.
