She is an American actress, born on January 20, 1941, in Steelton, Pennsylvania, USA. She went to Lebanon Valley College in Annville, Pennsylvania, and earned an M.A. in English literature at the University of Wisconsin. At age 32, she moved to New York City to try acting after working as a copy editor and research assistant. She is known for I Love You Phillip Morris (2009), Sideways (2004), and Meet Joe Black (1998). She received the 2000 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Featured Actress in a Play for "Fuddy Meers."
