An American actress and voice actress, born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She began dancing at the age of three and appeared in dance productions at the age of six. Darling attended the Pittsburgh Playhouse School of Acting and then transferred to Carnegie Mellon University, where she graduated from the theater department. After graduating, she was a member of the American Conservatory Theater Company and worked for several years with the Pittsburgh Playhouse before moving to the Washington Theatre Group. She is best known for her role in the 1948 film Ted Mack & the Original Amateur Hour.
