An American author and actor, born in Roxy, Mississippi, USA, as Richard Nathaniel Wright. He married from 1939 until 1940. After that, he married in 1941, and they had two children. His most famous novels were adapted into movies, including America's Dream (1996), La passerelle (1988), Almos' a Man (1976), and Native Son (2019). He died of a heart attack on November 28, 1960, in France, at the age of 52.
