She is an Indian actress, born in 1962 in India. She has a postgraduate degree in international relations but chose to pursue acting instead. She set a record by winning the Bengal Film Journalists' Association Awards in three consecutive years, from 1993 to 1996. She is known for Mountain of the Moon (2013), Amazon Obhijaan (2017), and Paran Jai Jaliya Re (2009).
