An Indian model and Bollywood actress, born on August 23, 1973, in Bombay, Maharashtra, India, to a Punjabi father and a Malayali Catholic mother. Malaika completed her secondary education at Swami Vivekananda School in Chembur and the Holy Cross Convent High School, Thane, where she studied until the ninth grade. She attended Jai Hind College in Churchgate but did not complete her studies there due to artistic engagements. She ventured into modeling and succeeded in this field as well. She landed many commercials and appeared as one of the judges in the TV dance show "Nach Baliye" alongside choreographer Saroj Khan and actor, director, and singer Farhan Akhtar. She is known for Dil Se.. (1998) and Housefull (2010).
