A Turkish lawyer, civil servant, dramaturge, playwright, and writer, born on September 1, 1930, in Ankara, Turkey. He studied law at Ankara University and then studied drama at the University of Cologne. He was appointed as a dramaturge in the state theatre of Ankara and worked as a manager in the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation. He also taught theater production for 30 years at the Department of Drama and the Department of History of Languages and Geography at Ankara University. He is highly regarded for his achievements such as working on many plays, writings, and history books. He was awarded an honorary doctorate from Ankara University in 1998 and was awarded by the Turkish Presidency in 1999. He also won the Culture and Art Award in 2006 for Best Author. He died on September 28, 2013, in Ankara, Turkey.
