American actor born in Manchester, England. He later moved to Los Angeles, California. He learned martial arts from his father while also attending theater school. After graduating, he began his professional career with guest appearances in a number of popular television series, such as CSI: NY, CSI: Miami, and Hawaii 5-0, before appearing in his first major films, such as Pirates of the Caribbean 3 and Den of Thieves.
