Tarkh founded a film academy in Tehran in 1984, and many of its students have won awards for best male and female artists at various art forums. He has participated in dozens of international festivals in Moscow, Tokyo, and Germany as a guest or jury member. His most notable works include Dead End of Trust (2017), Red Garden (2009), Parvande Havana (2006), Saghar (1997), Sara (1993), and the TV series A Green Journey (2002) and Awning (2017). He won the Best Actor Award at the Silk Road Film Festival in Ireland for his role in Dead End of Trust.
