A Canadian actress, born in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in a town on the outskirts of Toronto. She is the youngest of three daughters. She is of Caribbean (Jamaican) Canadian descent, with two older sisters, and her father is an automotive executive. She studied theater and dance at Unionville High School and continued her theater training at the Ryerson Theatre School in Toronto, where she studied for two years. She began her acting career in 1990 and has appeared in Better Than Chocolate (1999), The Chronicles of Riddick (2004), Fugitive At 17 (2012), Elysium (2013), and Deadly Lessons (2017).
