An American actress, born in Florida, on August 4, 1919. She got married twice and did not have children. Her father died while she was still an infant, and she was raised by her grandmother. When she became a young woman, she returned to live with her mother. She graduated from Andrew Jackson High School and attended the University of Alabama. She headed to New York in 1938 with the intention of working as a fashion designer, but she found her way as a model. Among her most important works: Life Begins for Andy Hardy (1941), Johnny Eager (1941) and Somewhere I'll Find You (1942). She retired quietly until she died of lung cancer at the age of 75.
