She is an Indian actress, born on March 27, 1942, in Girgaon, Mumbai, India. She has appeared in more than 80 Marathi and Hindi movies. She comes from the Goud Saraswat Brahmin (GSB) family, which hails from Karnataka. In the 1960s, she was one of the most well-known and popular Marathi actresses. She is known for Anand (1971), Benaam Badsha (1991), and Miya Bibi Razi (1960). She is married to Ramesh Deo, and her sons are actor Ajinkiya Deo and director Abhinay Deo.
