An American singer and actress, born in Baltimore, Maryland, USA, on January 2, 1918 and died in New York City, USA on May 10, 1992. She married Israel Seeger, had two children, and remained with him until her death. Her best works include The Mayor of 44th Street (1942), Time Out for Rhythm (1941), The Ed Sullivan Show (1949), and Iceland (1942). She began her artistic career in the 1930s by singing on the radio, and she later sang in the most famous nightclubs across the United States, including Copacabana in the city of New York, Sonderbird in Las Vegas, and Rio Cabana in Chicago. She worked in cinema and presented 3 musical films during 1941 and 1942 and worked on television in 1949. During World War II, she presented many patriotic songs inspired by the American participation in the war. She died in 1992 at the age of 74.
