An American actress, who was born in Memphis, Tennessee, USA. She married actor James Flavin (1932-1976), they had one child, and she remained with him for 44 years, dying 17 days after him. Her works include The Last of the Mohicans (1932), Cheyenne Rides Again (1937), The Mystery Squadron (1933), and Danger Island (1931). She began her career as a fashion model in 1914 and joined a theater group in Chicago for acting training. She spent her time gaining experience before heading to Hollywood and signing a contract with Fox Film Corporation. She met the actor James Flavin, and they married after the end of filming. She spend more than forty years with him, during which they had their only son, William, who became a professor. She made comedies, romances, and American West. She became a partly retired in 1938 to devote herself to raising her son and made 10 films until she finally retired from cinema in 1950. In the mid-sixties, she worked in a store near her home in the textile department. She died in Lexington, Virginia, USA on May 10, 1976 of a ruptured aorta.
