He is an American actor who was born in Morganton, North Carolina, USA on September 15, 1894. His most important works are: The Common Law (1931), Devotion (1931), Thoughtless Women (1920), and Platinum Blonde (1931). Robert Williams ran away from home at the age of 11 to join a theater tent and worked on the Mississippi River boats, before heading to New York and appeared in many theatrical performances, which were converted into films . He also starred in a silent short film about the American West before joining the US Army at the outbreak of World War I. After the war, he appeared for the first time in Broadway theaters in 1922. He died at the age of 37.
