American actress, playwright and novelist born October 13, 1872, United States She studied acting studies at the American Academy of Dramatic Art in New York City and Emerson College at Boston University in Boston. On stage from 1894, her first performance was in George Bernard Shaw's "Candida" in 1903 on Broadway, and in 1907 she participated in miscellaneous acts. Died July 26, 1933, Los Angeles,
